Today, I wasted half of my day in the effort to learn the results of my laboratory tests. Unfortunately, my doctor is on vacation until January 13, so I decided to go back to our province and have the results read there because I needed to return home.

While waiting for the results, let me share with you my experience from last year before I boarded the ship. I was under medication for almost a month because the results of my medical examination for the company revealed that I was anemic.

In simple terms, I couldn’t return to the ship until my blood chemistry test normalized. The doctor’s advice was to undergo a 14-day medication regimen for anemia. After completing the 14 days, I returned to the office to have my blood tested again.

However, the results showed no improvement, and I was still anemic. The doctor’s decision was for me to repeat the medication for another week, so I had no choice but to follow the doctor’s advice until another week passed, and I had my blood drawn again.

Once again, the results indicated that I was still anemic with no change. The doctor then decided that I undergo a more detailed blood test through the laboratory to determine why I was anemic despite taking revitalizing supplements as a non-diabetic.

Aside from this, I wondered why my diet, which mostly consisted of blood-boosting foods, did not seem to be working. I underwent the laboratory test, and after a day, I got the results, which I then had interpreted by my regular doctor.

It turns out that I have thalassemia, as revealed by the test results. My regular doctor explained that the shadow in my blood cells, according to the telescopic findings of foreign doctors, is due to thalassemia.

Now, I am regularly taking medication for my blood. This discovery sheds light on why I occasionally feel weak, as thalassemia is one of the conditions that can cause such symptoms and is also hereditary, according to the doctor’s explanation.

Due to my health experiences, I am now more cautious about what I eat, closely monitoring my diet to stay healthy and prevent the worsening of the condition. This is all I can share for now, and I hope you enjoyed my insights into my health journey.

If you have any concerns about health like me how I feel or experience, please feel free to leave a message and I will share more experience about thalassemia.

Thank you very much for your time!
