Hello once again, everyone! I’m back with the promised update on my blog, and this time, I’ll share the story of how I discovered my diabetes.

It all started in January 2022 when I was in Manila for some paperwork related to my vaccine. After completing the schedule for my vaccine, I noticed that my feet were swollen.

I initially thought it was due to prolonged sitting, and I dismissed it. Two weeks later, I traveled to Cebu City for studies, and I observed the swelling in my feet again. This time, I attributed it to long hours on the computer.

Instead of paying attention to the unusual signs, I brushed them off, assuming it was normal. Three months passed, and my school in Cebu concluded. I returned to my province, and that’s when the small wound on my toe started to appear.

Once again, I dismissed it, thinking it was just a minor cut. Another month passed, and I noticed it wasn’t healing; instead, it was getting larger, and my toes became numb. I also experienced difficulty urinating.

Despite these alarming symptoms, I hesitated to see a doctor, hoping it would resolve on its own. It wasn’t until I developed a fever a week later that I finally sought medical advice. To my surprise, the doctor informed me that I had Type 2 diabetes, and my creatinine levels were elevated.

I felt a mix of shock and regret, realizing that my body had been signaling issues over the past almost 7 months, and I had ignorantly overlooked them. Instead of improving, my condition worsened.

This experience taught me a valuable lesson – to take care of my body and consult a doctor whenever something feels off. Until next time, this concludes my brief account of my health journey.

Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days. If you have any suggestions or if you’d like to share your opinions or experiences regarding health, please leave a message and very happy to have other idea from you to prevent and having a healthy body.

Thank you once again for your time in reading my blog.
